How To Sand A Sculptured Rocker

"If you are a fine woodworker, do you have to like sanding?" I had a student ask me this salient question yesterday. He was building a Krenov style table at my school and was hand sanding the gentle curves of the tables legs. The answer for me is this - I do not like sanding "Sam I am"! I do love the results of my efforts.

Chuck, attached are a few photos of my recently completed rocker.
I know you hear this all the time, but I want to thank you for your help and support during this project. When I ordered the DVD / Book / Plan off your website last year, I had no idea how this would work out for me. I did not know you and I had no experience at this skill level. Needless to say, I am more than satisfied with the results. Working with you has expanded my knowledge base and given me more confidence.
You always responded promptly to email questions with good advice and encouragement. I appreciate your interest in helping me succeed on this project.
Our daughter is expecting her first child this summer ( our first grandchild ) and I will be starting on one for her soon.
I look forward to receiving my certificate inducting me into the International Society of Rocker Fellows, and will display it proudly.
Thanks for everything Chuck. I hope I will get the chance to meet you someday.

Note:
Texan Lee Fox is very special to me as are all the Rock'NChairman. He is not only an accomplished woodworker, he was the first to build the rocker from the original bundle. The original bundle consisted of a power point booklet and a set of patterns. The DVD did not exist. Lee's first chair helped to convince me that with a DVD and a supporting book, woodworkers would be able to build this "bucket list" rocker.
